Designed for junior high and high school students who want more than a typical summer camp, this program focuses on building real writing skills in a creative and engaging way.
This summer, take your writing to the next level through your own ideas and interests.
Professional Writers is an advanced writing program for students in Grade 7–12 who are ready to develop stronger, more structured, and polished writing.
In this program, students explore creative writing in depth, including story ideation, character development, plot construction, and narrative structure. They will refine their writing, learn effective editing techniques, and develop their work into a more complete and polished story.
Rather than following rigid assignments, students work on their own ideas while receiving structured guidance to improve their writing at a higher level.
To keep the creative process engaging and balanced, students will also incorporate illustration into their projects, visually bringing parts of their story to life alongside their writing.
Over the course of the program, students will complete one full story developed to a more advanced, publication-ready level.
Students may also have the opportunity to participate in writing competitions with guidance and support.
Students can take home their written work and illustrations at the end of the camp.
Families may also choose to have their book printed.
The book is produced in Korea and shipped to Canada, and it typically takes about 2–3 months to arrive.
