Story Art is a unique program where students create their own storybook using their own ideas, words, and artwork.
In this class, students explore storytelling through both reading and art. Through guided reading sessions, they learn how stories are structured, how characters are developed, and how ideas are expressed.
Students are encouraged to freely imagine and share their ideas. For younger students or those who may find writing challenging, teachers will support them by listening to their stories and helping translate their ideas into written form. This allows all students to fully express their creativity without being limited by their writing skills.
Throughout the program, students will develop their own story, plan their scenes, and illustrate their book. They will be guided step by step through the creative process of turning their imagination into a complete storybook.
Students can take home their original drawings on the last day of camp.
Families may also choose to have their book printed. The book is produced in Korea and shipped to Canada, and it typically takes about 2–3 months to arrive.
Book printing is optional
